EdTech Program

Our Philosophy & Mission

The Hebrew Academy of Nassau County believes that Educational Technology (EdTech) can provide students with a solid foundation of 21st century skills, promote collaborative, student-centered learning environments, and aid in student engagement.

Technology is constantly growing and expanding, and there are job opportunities now with technologies that didn't exist just a few short years ago. As a school, we understand the need to provide our students with an education that not only reflects this but that also teaches students how to use technology responsibly and ethically.

HANC students and faculty are incredibly grateful to be able to implement EdTech into our classrooms and curriculums. HANC faculty members attend biweekly meetings with our EdTech Specialist, Stew Greenberg, who helps teachers navigate and implement new technologies into their classrooms.

Our emerging EdTech program has been well-received by students who are excited to be able to use ipads and Chromebooks in class to collaborate on assignments and do real-time research with their teachers. We look forward to expanding this program!
